Empowered Firm is operated by Michael Roura LLC d/b/a Empowered Firm (“Empowered Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). PeerExit is a buyer-readiness pathway presented by Empowered Firm.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit empoweredfirm.com, peerexit.com, use our forms, download our resources, book a Diagnostic, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with Empowered Firm or PeerExit.

This Privacy Policy applies to the websites, landing pages, forms, booking links, and related online services we control. It does not apply to websites, platforms, payment processors, calendars, or tools operated by third parties, even if they are linked from our site.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information.

Contact information
This may include your name, email address, phone number, company name, role, location, and any other information you provide when you complete a form, download a resource, book a call, or contact us.

Business and buyer-readiness information
If you download the Buyer-Ready Starter Kit, book a Buyer-Ready Diagnostic, apply for PeerExit Private, or work with us, you may choose to provide business information such as industry, revenue range, profit range, exit timeline, owner-dependence concerns, buyer concerns, customer concentration estimates, financial summaries, product or service mix, org charts, employee or contractor role lists, process or SOP lists, prior valuation materials, broker materials, buyer offers, CIMs, teasers, leases, contracts, permits, legal or ownership issues, transition goals, and related business information.

Payment and booking information
When you book a paid Diagnostic or other paid service, we may collect booking details, payment status, event information, and related transaction records. Payment card and billing information may be collected and processed by third-party payment or booking providers. We do not intentionally store full credit card numbers on our own website.

Communication information
We may collect information you send by email, form submission, survey, call notes, intake responses, or other written or recorded communication.

Website and analytics information
When you visit the Website, we and our service providers may collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring pages, time on site, approximate location, cookie identifiers, and interaction data.

We may use de-identified, anonymized, or aggregated information to improve our messaging, curriculum, tools, and internal processes. We do not publish identifiable client stories, financial information, or sensitive business details without permission.

For example, selected analyst-heavy work inside PeerExit Private may involve external execution support. We limit shared information to what is reasonably necessary for the work.

With your consent

We may share information when you ask us to do so or when you give permission, such as when coordinating with your CPA, attorney, wealth advisor, internal team, partner, or other advisor.

Legal and safety reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, property, security, or the integrity of our services.

Business transfer

If Empowered Firm or substantially all of its assets are sold, transferred, merged, reorganized, or assigned, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to reasonable confidentiality expectations.

We do not share confidential client business information for third-party advertising.

4. Third-Party Tools and Services

Our Website and booking process may use third-party tools and platforms, including but not limited to:

Systeme.io or similar website, funnel, form, email, and automation tools.

Calendly or similar scheduling tools.

Stripe or similar payment processors.

Google Analytics or similar analytics tools.

Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar document storage tools.

Email, CRM, video meeting, or workflow tools.

These third parties may collect or process information according to their own privacy policies and terms. We do not control those third-party policies.

If you submit your email address, download a resource, book a Diagnostic, or otherwise request information, we may send you transactional, educational, and marketing emails related to Empowered Firm, PeerExit, buyer-readiness, transferability, exit preparation, and related services.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us. Even if you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we may still send transactional or service-related messages when appropriate.

7. Confidential Business Information

Some services may involve sensitive business information, including financial summaries, revenue and profit ranges, customer concentration, operational gaps, owner-dependence concerns, employee or contractor information, legal or ownership issues, prior valuation materials, and related buyer-readiness information.

We use this information to deliver the requested advisory service, prepare internal analysis, identify buyer-readiness gaps, and make recommendations. We do not treat this work as legal, tax, accounting, valuation, investment, financial planning, or formal M&A representation.

Providing business information to Empowered Firm or PeerExit does not create an attorney-client, CPA-client, fiduciary, broker-client, investment advisory, or formal M&A representation relationship.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. However, no website, platform, email system, or online transmission is 100% secure. You should avoid sending highly sensitive information unless it is necessary for the work and you are comfortable using the selected communication or file-sharing method.

9. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business records, improve operations, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect legitimate business interests.

We may delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, unless we are required or permitted to keep it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Website after updates are posted means you accept the updated policy.
